Know What Ingredients In Parrot Bird Food Are Not Good For Parrots

Before you choose a particular bird food it is essential that you take a close look at its ingredients because there are a number of things that should not be found in your pet’s bird food. For starters, there is need to ensure that the bird food contains no wheat which is known to contain gluten as well as histamines that are allergens. In addition, the bird food must also not contain corn which is a bad source as far as proper nutrition is concerned, and it would be better to eliminate this from your pet’s diet since it contains too much of natural sugars and starch that have less nutritional value and which also contains histamine.

No Soy

Another ingredient worth eliminating from bird food is soy that is an allergen and soy also contains phyto-estrogen that can upset normal hormonal activities and thus is not recommended. In a similar vein, peanuts are also not good for your parrots and thus they must be eliminated from bird food since they are allergens and can also cause aflatoxin overgrowth.

MSG too is not good for your since it can lead to rashes as well as hives and even severe itching and a few other disorders as well and it is generally found in foods (processed) as well as in maltodextrin.

In fact, with so many don’ts to contend with, it would be far better to feed natural organic bird food to give your some of the many health benefits associated with such natural foods. They will provide the right kind of nutrition and thus help your to reach its full potential and at the same time minimize the risk of developing health related problems.

In fact, choosing the proper bird food will be the most important decision that a owner will have to make; more so, because parrots are still considered as being wild creatures even in spite of having been bred in captivity. Thus, organic food should be high on your list when choosing proper bird food, and choosing Harrison Bird Food is a good option in this regard.

If you choose Exact Rainbow bird food you will also be giving your food that has nutrition that is suitable for parrots because it contains things such as ground oat groats, dried whole egg, dry beet pulp and calcium carbonate and a lot more that will ensure that your gets the right texture and which also contains scents that will help to stimulate your parrot.
